This suite of three books has been produced by one of the country's leading bugle instructors - C J Boulton.
He has written these books to enable people to learn how to play the bugle at home and at their own pace. They are clearly laid out and have explanations of all terms used. Each book has a companion CD which contains recordings of the exercises presented within the books. There is also a glossary at the end of each section explaining the terms used.
Book One
This is the starter book and includes notes on the history of the bugle, the care and playing of the instrument, practice tips, explanations of the bugle notes and explanations of musical terms. There is a daily practice routine and a set of 'grade 1' exercises and studies.
