Drum Static - Centenniel - Russell Piner

Russel composed this static with his good friend Ian Fenton, whilst under training at the Royal Marines School of Music. They both wanted to give each phrase a different feel and style, which has resulted in a very percussive, yet simple to play static. The seconds echo this variation in style and provide a visual impact which will impress any audience. Centennial has been played by most of the Royal Marines Corps of Drums and was used for the 1999 Mountbatten Festival of Music held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It is a simple but effective static and would be ideal for any drum corps.
