This static works extremely well for large or small corps of drums. It differs from conventional pieces in that the soloist and bass drum share the solo, the bass drum takes the solo at one point in the static. If used with HTS drum the effect is heightened even more.
Carpe-Dieme has been used extensively at various engagements by Royal Marines corps of drums.
