VISCOUNT MARCHING DIVISION PRESENTS WHITE DRUMSTICKS TO BEST SOLO DRUMMER
At Viscount Marching Division and Corporatestix we were very pleased to be involved in the sponsorship of this year's Church Lads and
Church Girls Brigade National Band Competition at Hinckley on 12th May.
Over 20 bands competed and both musicians and spectators really enjoyed the day.
Phil Macefield, Manager of the Viscount Marching Division, presented a pair of white Drumsticks to Joel Plant of St Peter’s Whetstone Company
from Leicester for winning the best solo drummer competition.
ROYAL MARINES BEAT THE VISCOUNT DRUMS
The new range of Viscount drums had their first official outing to much acclaim from the audiences at the Mountbatten Festival of Music from 12-14th April at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Royal Marines Band Service recently took delivery of Viscount drums to equip the whole of the Corps of Drums for each Band. Orders have already been placed by the Band of the Irish Guards, the Band of The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, the Corps of Drums of The Yorkshire Regiment and the Central Band of the Army Cadet Force, to name but a few.
Over the past year All Arms Marketing and Manufacturing Organisation worked closely with the manufacturer Pearl drums, in consultation with the Royal Marines, to produce a range of traditional marching drums which have been specially designed to meet the demands of today’s military and marching drummer.
